1Basic components of boiler

1. Steam boiler

Including drum, tube bundle, water wall, header and downcomer. In the steam water system in the boiler body, the flue gas from high-temperature combustion products transfers heat to the water with lower temperature in the boiler through the heating surface. The water is heated, boiling and vaporizing to generate steam.

2. Stove

Including coal hopper, grate, furnace, slag removal plate, air supply device, etc. The combustion equipment in the boiler body converts the chemical energy of the fuel into heat energy.

3. Safety accessories

Water level gauge, pressure gauge, safety valve, boiler metal steel frame and platform stair.

2Components of "pot"

1. Economizer

It is placed in the vertical flue at the rear of the boiler. The waste heat of flue gas is used to heat the boiler feed water, reduce the flue gas temperature, improve the boiler efficiency and save fuel.

2. Steam drum

Located on the top of the boiler. This is a cylindrical pressure vessel with water at the bottom and steam at the top. Together they form a water circulation loop. The steam water mixture generated by the heat absorption of water on the water wall is collected in the steam drum. After the steam water separation, the saturated steam is sent to the superheater.

3. Downcomer

It is the water supply pipe of the water wall, which is used to introduce the water in the steam drum into the lower header and distribute it to each water wall pipe. There are two kinds of small diameter decentralized downcomers and large diameter centralized downcomers. Small diameter downcomer has small diameter, which is unfavorable to water circulation.

4. Lower header of water wall

The main function of the header is to collect the mass or redistribute the working fluid to other pipelines through the header. The lower header of the water-cooled wall is a thick pipe with closed ends, which is used to connect the downcomer with the water-cooled wall, so as to collect, mix and redistribute the working medium.

5. Water wall

It's around the stove. Its main function is to absorb radiant heat and evaporate water in the furnace. It is the main heating surface in modern boilers and can also protect the furnace wall.

6. Superheater

Its function is to heat the saturated steam in the steam drum into superheated steam of a certain temperature.

7. Reheater

Its function is to heat the steam that has done some work in the turbine again and send it to the turbine for further work.

3Components of the "furnace"

1. Furnace

It is converted from furnace wall and water-cooled wall for fuel combustion. The fuel burns in suspension in this space, releasing a lot of heat.

2. Burner

Place on the four corners or walls of the stove. Its function is to inject fuel and air into the furnace at a constant speed. The fuel is ignited in time and burns rapidly and completely. There are two basic types: once through burner and rail burner.

3. Air preheater

It is a heat exchanger for heat exchange between flue gas and air belonging to the combustion system. The air preheater is generally set in the flue at the tail of the boiler. The waste heat of flue gas is used to heat the normal temperature air, and the air is heated to the temperature required for fuel combustion before being sent to the furnace.

4. Smoke and air duct

The tubes composed of furnace wall, several heat transfer surface tubes, wall tubes, etc. are used to guide the flow of flue gas and conduct heat exchange on each heat transfer surface, which are divided into horizontal flue and tail flue. Auxiliary equipment Auxiliary equipment includes ventilation equipment (forced draft fan and induced draft fan), fuel transportation equipment, pulverizing system, ash and slag removal and dust removal equipment, desulfurization equipment, etc.
