What is once-through boiler?

Compared with natural circulation boiler, once-through boiler has the advantages of relatively free arrangement of evaporation heating surface, which can be applied under supercritical pressure and critical pressure, convenient manufacturing and metal saving due to no drum, in addition, rapid start and stop and flexible adjustment. Its disadvantages are high requirements for water supply quality and automatic regulation, large resistance of evaporation heating surface and large power consumption of water supply pump.
