From May 24th to 26th, the 78th IEA-FBC ExCO & Technical meeting of the International Energy Agency organized by the Department of Energy and Power Engineering of Tsinghua University was successfully held in Guilin, Guangxi.Professor Junfu Lv from the Department of Energy and Power Engineering chaired the meeting as the vice-chairman of the council. Chinese and foreign experts from France, Canada, Italy and other 8 countries and technical leaders of many domestic enterprises participated in the academic seminar and technical exchange meeting.Chairman Duan Xuqiang, Executive Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer Zhang Eying of Jiangsu Sifang Boiler, who co-organized this meeting, participated in the technical exchange activities。

At the meeting, the evergreen tree in the international fluidization field—Professor Leckner from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden gave an academic report on sludge incineration. Associate Professor Qing Hai made academic reports on carbon emission reduction, biomass and waste resource utilization, and representatives of Jiangsu Sifang Boiler delivered an academic report, mainly introducing the conventional product types of Sifang boilers, and focusing on the characteristics of fluidized bed boilers based on biomass fuels , discussed and communicated from the aspects of design concept and structural form.This technical exchange fully demonstrated the new progress of FBC technology and China's achievements in recent years.Professor Scala, Chairman of the IEA-FBC Council, and Professor Winter, the former chairman of the IEA-FBC Council, spoke highly of the conference, which promoted international cooperation in the utilization of solid waste resources.During the meeting, a multi-party cooperation intention between China and Europe was reached, in response to the development of "One Belt, One Road".
